THE STUDIO COMPETITIONS. CLASS A. DECORATIVE ART. A XIV. SET OF SIX EMBROIDERED D'OYLEYS. (Particulars appeared in the September Number.) A XV. SCHEME FOR THE DECORATION OF A STREET. The Coronation of King Edward VII. next year will be the occasion of much street decoration in London and elsewhere, and in order to give readers of THE STUDIO an opportunity of demonstrating their ideas concerning decoration of streets, the Editor has decided to offer prizes for the best schemes. Drawings, which should not exceed in size a page of THE STUDIO, must be carried out in water-colours. A triumphal arch may be included in the scheme or not, at the option of the competitor. An existing thoroughfare may be chosen for the purpose of the scheme of decoration or the street shown may be a purely imaginary one. FIRST PRIZE: Five Guineas; SECOND PRIZE: Three Guineas.
