Cookie policy

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. It is used, among other things, to keep a session signed in, remember preferences or measure the use of a service. This policy describes, exhaustively, the cookies used by gargantuart.com (hereinafter “the Site”).

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential to the operation of the Site. They are exempt from consent within the meaning of the CNIL guidelines and cannot be disabled.

3. Marketing measurement cookie (ga_mc)

The first-party cookie ga_mc is used for marketing attribution: it allows us to measure sign-ups and purchases resulting from our own emails. It is set only if both of the following conditions are met:

  • you arrive on the Site via a link contained in one of our marketing emails;
  • you have given your consent through the consent banner.

Its lifetime is 30 days. You can refuse it or withdraw your consent at any time (see the “Managing your choices” section below) without any consequence for your use of the Site.

4. Third-party service cookies

  • Stripe: during a purchase, the embedded Stripe payment module sets its own cookies, which are necessary for the payment to work and for fraud prevention. They are considered necessary for the service you are requesting. Details are available at stripe.com/cookies-policy.
  • Google: if you choose to sign in with Google, cookies are set by Google only during the Google OAuth sign-in flow. They are governed by Google’s policies.

5. Audience measurement: no cookies, no third-party trackers

The Site measures its traffic with a tool we host ourselves, on our own infrastructure. It sets no cookie, uses no persistent identifier and does not follow you across sites: it only produces aggregate statistics (page views, referring page, device type, country). That is why it does not appear in the tables above and does not require your consent, in line with the CNIL's guidance on exempt audience measurement. This data is kept for 13 months.

The Site sets no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics cookies. No non-essential tracker is set before you give your consent.

6. Managing your choices

You can change your consent choices at any time: .

You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may however prevent you from signing in to your account.

7. Further information

The personal data processing associated with these cookies is described in the privacy policy. For any question: contact@gargantuart.com.
