Pictures for Art Education. To meet the demand for good reproductions suitable in size for use as educational pictures, we have prepared a carefully selected list of pictures. In preparing this list we have kept four points in view: First, pictures for schools must be made directly from originals, and reproduce all their subtle feeling and detail. Second, all must be sufficiently large to be seen in detail from any part of a schoolroom. Third, all subjects must have educational value either in that they are copies of the world's masterpieces in art, thus cultivating an aesthetic taste and a knowledge of art history; or that they illustrate some important event in the history of the world. Fourth, all must be made by processes that are permanent (fadeless), so that once on the school walls, the pictures need not be renewed for a hundred years. All of the pictures possess the requisite qualities which we have named above. The subjects are published in A and B size carbon photographs, absolutely fadeless.
