--- THE NATIONAL RADIO EXHIBITION NEW HALL, OLYMPIA September 23rd to October 3rd, 1929 --- OPEN POSTER COMPETITION OBJECT.—The object of the Competition is to obtain a design for a poster to advertise The National Radio Exhibition, to be held in the New Hall, Olympia, from September 23rd to October 3rd, 1929. CONDITIONS. 1. Sketches (rough, in colour) must be full size upright (Double Crown 30 ins. x 20 ins.) and must be treated with a view to reproduction by lithography in not more than 9 colours and reduction for use as poster stamps (2½ ins. x 1½ ins.). 2. Designs, which must be applicable to radio, should incorporate the following wording:— “The National Radio Exhibition, Olympia (New Hall), September 23rd to October 3rd, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission 1/6 daily. (Tuesday, September 24th, up to 5 p.m., 2/6).” 3. Sketches must be sent to the Secretary, The Radio Manufacturers’ Association, Astor House, Aldwych, London, W.C.2, so as to reach him not later than the 31st May, 1929. 4. Sketches will be judged by a Committee to be appointed by the R.M.A., whose decision shall be final and binding on all competitors. 5. Six prizes will be awarded as follows:— 1st Prize, £50; 2nd Prize, £25; 3rd Prize, £10; 4th, 5th and 6th Prizes, £5 each. The names of the Prize Winners will be published in the “Radio Times.” 6. Entrants must write their names and addresses plainly on the backs of their sketches. 7. Entrants may send more than one sketch if they so desire. 8. The prize-winning sketches and the copyright in same shall be the property of the Radio Manufacturers’ Association. 9. Prize-winning and other selected sketches will be exhibited at the National Radio Exhibition to be held at Olympia from September 23rd to October 3rd, 1929. 10. The Radio Manufacturers’ Association shall not be bound to make use of the prize-winning or any of the sketches submitted. 11.
