THE STUDIO ARTISTS’ DESIGN PRIZE COMPETITION THE SUN LIFE ASSURANCE COMPANY OF CANADA is desirous of securing a “House Sign” or Crest which can be used on Literature and as an outside emblem. The competition will be conducted subject to the following conditions: 1. Frank Brangwyn, Esq., A.R.A., has kindly consented to act as Judge in this competition. The prizes will be awarded in accordance with his decision, which will be final. 2. Any number of designs may be submitted by any competitor. 3. Design should be adaptable for use with type-set matter in newspapers, for lithographed, steel engraved and half-tone reproduction, and for embossed die work. 4. Drawings may be in black and white or in colours. Originality is of more importance than perfection of drawing. 5. All designs submitted become the property of the Company, and the Company does not bind itself to use the winning or any other design, but in the event of a design not winning a prize being selected for use, a special honorarium will be awarded. 6. Designs should be indicative of the Company’s name and appropriate to its business. Designs embodying Sun Chariots or Quadrigas will not be considered or accepted. 7. Any additional information desired in connection with this Competition will be furnished upon application to the Manager, Sun of Canada House, Victoria Embankment, W.C.2. 8.
